Art & Life with Bryan Montgomery

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryan Montgomery.

Bryan, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I always enjoyed doodling on my books and surfboards in high school, but I was ultimately inspired by graphic design because of my strong fascination with art itself. In my early years, I spent several months traveling and soul-searching; and the experience proved to be quite meaningful – when I came back, I knew that Graphic Design would be an ideal profession for me.”

I am laid-back, likable and incredibly loyal to my friends. San Diego, CA born-and-Santa Barbara raised, the ocean plays an important part in my life. I prefer being in it, but just being near it keeps me going. Getting in it cleanses my soul, and anything associated with it makes me happy, as do surfing, nature, and venturing down the path-less-traveled by most.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I have a keen eye for design, form, and style, like to keep up on current industry trends and design clean and pristine layouts and poignant image placement, I like to use functional design elements and my own artistic style to create meaningful, effective designs that are both visually appealing and effective. I get satisfaction out of designing creative and effective marketing campaigns logos or any other type of collateral materials. My inspirations are making someone’s eyes light up and be extremely satisfied with what I provide them. Most of my work is thought out, researched and has a deeper meaning than what you see on the surface. If you look deeper, you find more meaning and though in my designs. I also enjoy shooting photography especially beautiful scenery or landscapes.

What responsibility, if any, do you think artists have to use their art to help alleviate problems faced by others? Has your art been affected by issues you’ve concerned about?
I think with social media artist have more visibility and more of a chance to be seen and heard as long as they are willing to put in the work.

What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
