Art & Life with Pete Sciarrino and Aaron Kershberg

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pete Sciarrino and Aaron Kershberg.

Pete and Aaron, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
We’ve actually been making music since around eight years old. We both messed around with different instruments, learning what we could by ear for a few years before Aaron really decided that he wanted to stick with the drums and I (Pete) decided to work with the piano and guitar. Although sometimes we do like to switch it up and have everyone on a different instrument for the fun of it.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
In Ending Left, we are pretty serious about making music that we feel like people can relate to. Listening to music and writing it has always been therapeutic for me, and we hope that people who listen to our music also find it inspiring or therapeutic in the same way that it is for both of us! I think if you take anything away from our art, I’d love for our listeners to know that every song that we write is about us and situations that we are in at the time. It’s all real and from the heart. And most importantly, we hope our listeners like it.

Any advice for aspiring or new artists?
If we could give any advice, for any artist and any artwork, it would be to make content that you enjoy. If you are a musician, make the music you love. Don’t worry about how it’ll be received. If you love your work, others will too. And as for lessons we wish we had learned earlier, I think we both wish we had put all our energy into it sooner. You really have to go all in and work really hard to get the shows you want and the attention you think your work deserves.

What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
We play local shows all around SD frequently and lately have been branching out around California. We hope to be doing a mini tour by the summer. All our show dates can be found on our Facebook and Instagram pages. If anyone wants to do more to support us, spread the word! Tell your friends, buy our albums, go to our shows, buy our merch when it’s available. But most importantly, you support us just by listening to our stuff. We love feedback and the opportunity to talk to fans of our music in general. So don’t be shy.
