Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Accardi.
Tiffany, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
Absolutely! Hey Friends! I am the founder + president of an international organization called… Gals That Brunch
Gals That Brunch consists of 72 Chapters in 3 different countries around the world, and continuously growing every week. We are dedicated to finding the very best brunch destinations around the world WHILE creating a movement to create space for community in our cities. We believe that all the best things happen around the table, the brunch table in our case 🙂
We’re going after city transformation, unity and providing the space, tools + resources to see women flourish! Gals That Brunch was birthed out a really tough season of finding my place, desiring connection and wanting to make an impact in some way shape or form.
After two grueling cross country moves, I realized I was to take the lessons I’ve learned along the way in those prior moves and transitions and was going to be even more courageous in ways of putting myself out there and being intentional.
I love brunch + I love gal friends and thought what if there was some sort of monthly group that we met up and we can try all the different brunch spots out and get to meet amazing women in your city, thought it might be worth a try…. 2 weeks before my arrival date from Denver to Virginia Beach I clicked the publish button and posted about the very first Gals That Brunch – Virginia Beach/Norfolk… and then sat there nervously for two weeks….
It was a total experiment and who’d I have thought if anyone would show up… I panicked and was ridden with what if this is a total fail. But figured at least that I haven’t even moved yet and I already have plans for the very first weekend in my new city. … so, we shall see… haha
This introvert/extrovert stirred up all the courage I had in me and I just showed up.
That morning over 30 women came together, all in astonishment as everyone looked around the table and we’re joining together in laughing, giggling, life stories and happy tears around the table as though they had finally found their tribe and the beautiful moments in simple connection. That they were not alone in this and we can all laugh about the spilled coffee I poured over myself in the week earlier, that our lives weren’t a perfectly crafted or curated 150-word status update. But real moments, real life, real stories.
You saw hearts being knitted together, moments of peace, beautiful diversity, you saw fearlessness as everyone settled into SHOWING UP and hey this is me, even restoration moments for those that may have been terrified by large groups of women in life’s past., there was a synergy and energy as women inspired one another, encouraged one another and we all “hooped & holler’d” with one another as those opened up about things that they even wanted to pursue in the future and shared dreams and you saw this beautiful and unique partnership as other women started to fill In the gaps for one another, calling out the gold, “I see this in you” and joined in launching one another in everyone’s beautiful and uniquely crafted skill sets and design and celebrating individualization but that in the power of community and family, there is new freedom and wholeness for one another and we’re better together.
At that moment it was that serendipitous moment where I realized it was definitely not about me, there was not only a need here, but that I was going to dedicate my life to this, building community, encouraging and championing women and through that city and community transformation.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
It is my hope and desire to create safe and beautiful spaces for women to gather in cities around the world and that they would feel comfortable and confident to show up as they are. I’m passionate about those feeling “seen/heard” and that you are not alone!! I want to see people walking in the very best version of themselves, feeling ALIVE My heart burns for people to know who they are and what they carry and I love to run alongside others in that discovery and empowering others to the same. My heart longs for connection and helping connect others to “their people”. I want people to leave one of our brunch settings, feeling empowered and ready to take on the week, feeling even more confident and beautiful in everything they we’re designed to be.
The GTB mission is to create a positive, authentic and empowering atmosphere where women can connect with each other and find community within their city. While we are on our way to being the #1 Brunch Resource in the world, it is our heart beat is to see women walk in complete freedom, launched into their destinies, dreams and living the most beautiful stories life has to offer. We believe when a group of women come together to encourage, empower, and speak into each other’s lives it changes lives, atmospheres, cities and our world… “Creating community one brunch at a time…”
Do you think conditions are generally improving for artists? What more can cities and communities do to improve conditions for artists?
I’m actually super-duper pumped! I believe there is an emerging creativity movement that is about to BURST and I believe that it’s happening in our city and throughout Southern California!! I believe that we will have a ripple effect that is going to shake out to the nations. San Diego is going to be a creative epicenter where people come to get FREE and unlocked from years of writer’s block or feeling stagnant in their creative sphere. San Diego is going to be overflowing with so much creativity goodness!
I believe it’s going to be beautiful and look so different than anything we have yet to experience!! I think we’ll see a lot more of the right brain meets the left brain and a gorgeous business boom creating multiple streams of revenue. I think that we can all get excited, look for opportunities to pour into the creatives and artisans around you and be part of the transformation. Get excited that there is going to be a historical movement that you will live to see! Get out there and make it out to events, meet your neighbors, encourage those around you to share their dreams and spark HOPE all around!!!
What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
We offer numerous events every month, come on out and bring a friend and pour into the women in your city!!!
