Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaidyn Jiron.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Two and a half years ago, I was going to school and working a job that was a far commute from where I lived at the time. I left that job and was hired at another place a lot closer to home, it sounded great and I was super excited to start working for the company. During my first day working at the new job I knew it wasn’t an environment I wanted to be in. It was toxic and not something that made me happy.
During my third shift, I walked out, I had never done anything like that before, and it was so out of character for me, but I wasn’t going to put up with being in an environment that left me miserable. I went home and told my husband that I quit but that I had a plan. I sold a lot of my nice jewelry and came up with enough money to buy all the equipment I would need to start my photography business. I bought a new computer, camera, lenses, etc. and started by booking free sessions. This allowed me to gain some experience behind the camera directing clients and getting to know my own style of shooting and editing. After many free sessions, I felt confident to officially start Jaidyn Michele Photography! I became a licensed business and formed an LLC. Since that day, I have poured my heart into my business. It’s something I am so proud of.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I’m not sure if there is such a thing as an easy journey when it comes to starting your own business, but it’s not impossible! As a one-woman show I wear many hats when it comes to running my business. I’m in charge of marketing, scheduling, editing, accounting, etc. I’m also a new first-time mom, so learning to balance work life and personal life has been something that has posed a challenge.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a wedding and family photographer, specializing in intimate weddings, couples and their love stories, and candid family moments. I would say I’m known for my images that show emotion. Whether it’s between you and the love of your life or between you and your babies, I really strive to bring out the emotion and capture those precious moments and connections. I’m really proud of how many clients have become such close friends. When I started my business, I wanted to be more than a photographer hired one time to take photos. My goal was to create relationships with those who hire me because I feel like then I’m better able to tell a story with my images.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I believe the most important quality and characteristic that has lead me to my success is being passionate. I truly put my heart and soul into everything I do. Passion for growing my business, passion for making sure my clients leave their session happy, and passion to ensure they love their images is what I attribute my success to.
