Check out Patrizha Va-Ra’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Patrizha Va-Ra.

Patrizha, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
Has there ever been something you wanted so badly, but could not get it done the way you want? Seeing a painter touch the tip of a brush to a canvas and stroke the emotional strength of a woman… I’ve always wanted to be that brush–to show the emotionality, the attitudes, the deep expressions–but after a long time of realizing I will never become that painter, I understood that there is another way to show this through photography. Everyone has something to say, even if there are no words spoken, and that is through the emotional expressions of what we are feeling. I want to show the expressions that painters paint through the lens of a camera.

Everyone has a sanctuary, mine is photography. I can escape into the emotions of people. Every photo from start to finish is a walk through a person’s life, the first photo is an introduction, and the last photo is a statement of who they are. The sound I’m capturing out of these photos is emotion, from what part of your life did this emotion come from? Speak to me through your soul. Tell me your story with fashion, where and how do you feel secure and sexy?

People’s thoughts and actions inspires me to give a face to my own art. I feel the sensitivity of a person and make them real and not try to change the person into somebody else. There are people who are not trying to say, but show art through emotions.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
Beauty is encompassed in the soul within which may be expressed as an art represented in many ways, mine is to capture the essence of the people in their present, to be remembered genuinely in the future.

What do you think it takes to be successful as an artist?
Art in all its forms was created by people who had the passion and ingenuity to develop them, there were no written rules or guidelines, everything was created by an idea…

There are no obstacles that can stop us from doing what we want, because if we really crave it, we will find a way to do it.

Creativity only requires passion and ingenuity, do not be your own obstacle.
