Check out Yanira Scalise’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yanira Scalise.

Yanira, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I am a wife and mother of two beautiful boys. I used to work in the medical field as a surgical technologist in Plastic surgery in Beverly Hills. I was once on the Dr. 90210 show assisting the Doctor in surgery “that was my big debut ha! …So, I thought, but this new-found passion of mine feels so right! All the positive reviews and feedback I get from my clients reassures me I’m in my right path!

Ever since I could remember as a little girl my passion has always been art. I won awards in acrylic painting against other California Christian school competitors. I started my photography business in 2014 and since then I have never looked back. I love doing this job! I feel very lucky to have found my calling.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I am lifestyle photographer and I enjoy photographing families, engagement session, weddings and children. I love getting natural emotions on camera. I love photographing the same pose from different angles it’s a completely different view! I hope my clients see how beautiful they are. Everyone is different and that makes you beautiful. I do my best in making my clients look their best on camera with my presets. I know that photography is always evolving but staying true to my taste is what makes me different.

What do you know now that you wished you had learned earlier?
I do! I would say to follow your heart, do what makes you smile!! I am sorry to say that I cried many times during surgery as a surgical tech the pressure was just too high. I always, always loved art and I didn’t choose this path earlier because I never thought I could make a living from painting. But I would say don’t let those thoughts change the inevitable. I was meant for this and I’m happy I’m in the right career!
