Community Highlights: Meet Azadeh Keshavarz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Azadeh Keshavarz.

Hi Azadeh, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I grew up in San Diego and have always had a passion for advocating for those in need. Prior to becoming an attorney, I practiced as a Doctor of Chiropractic in California for more than ten years, during which I gained invaluable experience treating injured victims of motor vehicle accidents; therefore, I have a very unique background that allows me to understand an injury claim from the inside out; from both the medical standpoint and legal.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Making the career switch from Chiropractic (Healthcare) to the law was definitely not an easy one. I was still treating patients at my clinic full time while taking care of my family (including two very young children) and doing law school. There were lots of sleepless nights, studying long hours, and lots of life challenges, but the passion I had for becoming a lawyer kept me focused and fiercely determined. Of course, once I finished law school, studying and passing the California Bar was a monstrous task for anyone (as it is the hardest Bar exam in the country), but again my determination and drive to want to advocate on behalf of those who cannot defend themselves won and I was able to prevail. Once licensed, I put in long hours to get experience and learn as much as I could about personal injury law and started my own firm, which had its own challenges.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My firm is dedicated to fighting and advocating for those injured from the negligent act of others. We handle injury cases due to car accidents, motorcycle accidents, bicycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, dog/animal bites, and premise liability cases such as slip and falls or trip and falls. Our firm also fights aggressively and compassionately for surviving family members of wrongful death cases.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I am a big fan of Tony Robbins and have been listening to his podcasts for years. It has truly been a pivotal source of motivation in my life to be the best I can be in anything I set my mind to.
