Community Highlights: Meet Mario Sanchez of Vid Project

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mario Sanchez.

Hi Mario, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
Thanks for this! I appreciate it. Well, the most straightforward answer is I’m Creative. I specialize in creating videos. My background is Graphic design, but I fell in love with making social media content, which has been my medium. I’m first Generation Hispanic living here in California.

I’m one of many first-generation people who have this creativity running in their blood. Since I was a kid, I have innately cultivated my creativity. And as a young adult tried being an artist, graphic designer, photographer, and videographer. Creating videos was the one thing I could add everything I needed to make some emotion. I found myself filming my friends, and I fell in love with documenting moments. I just imagined that the footage I have would one day be worth something. By cultivating my passion for video, industry experts began working with me. I create content for people to grow their social presence. I have found video isn’t just for increasing a person’s following but also a way for you to connect. When my clients tell me how I capture them, I love when my clients allow their audience to gain access and feel connected. So now I’m on a mission to finding more clients and more creators. I want to match and help both sides of the spectrum.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a reasonably smooth road?
NO, it has not. We all face personal challenges, family challenges, and financial hardships. One of the hardest things I had to deal with was getting into a car accident, I did something that no person should do that caused me to crash, and I had to rebuild from that situation. I have had relationships problems with family and personal where I felt I didn’t want to get out of bed. I can’t tell you how many jobs I have left or have been let go from. I have had banks chase me down for a long time because of financial situations. My health has been a fluctuating roller coaster since I was 18. Of course, the road has not been smooth, but I don’t want to leave this earth without giving it my all.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
You should know that Vid Project is working with amazing creators. I think right now is the Creator economy, and all businesses should be working with creative people. Vid Project aims to be a platform where a company can find creative talent in their city. If there is no creator in your area, we will do our best to find someone for you. The goal is to have a content creator help you create content for your brand. By doing this, you will be able to separate yourself from your competitors. What makes us different is that you create a monthly amount of content in a few days to diversify over the coming weeks. For my clients, I film them 2-3 times a month, and on those days, I film about 3-4 long-form videos, take some photos, and create short videos that are about 15-30 seconds. My clients can now use this for all their social media and even run them as advertising.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
I would recommend beginning a media system, which means the steps to get your content from creating the script/copy to distribution. If you don’t have this already, make sure you reach out to us.
