Community Highlights: Meet Mary Tall

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mary Tall.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
At the young age of 7, I knew that I wanted to be a business owner. My plan was to go to college and get my business degree. But things shifted for me. I saw an ad in a local newspaper offering to help interested parties become real estate agents. I at 20 years attended this meeting and I was hooked. I jumped right in.

I have a passion for real estate, and helping clients achieve financial wealth through real estate and the goal of homeownership. I have been a licensed realtor for 18 years. I have dedicated my career to helping clients buy and sell property. Having extensive knowledge and experience in San Diego.

In my free time I, enjoy boating with family, biking on the bay, sewing, baking with my kiddos, and teaching fitness classes.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When I first became licensed, I started out working for a small local broker who I found out was doing fraudulent business practice on the property management side of his business. So I left. I actually went into Real Estate Finance and was recruited by Countrywide Home Loans. I worked in financing for about 5 years before going back into Real Estate Sales. I started back in Sales during the big mortgage crisis in 2007, and maneuvered this twist and turns during that time.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about your business?
I truly have a passion for helping clients. Whether it’s a first-time homebuyer who typically has no idea how or where to get started, or grandparents looking to sell their home downsizing to move and be closer to their family. I learned early on in my career that you can’t sell real estate, without first fully understanding people’s needs, wants, and desires. For most Homeowners or buyers there are lots of emotions involved. Be it the idea of Christmas time in front of the fireplace in their first home, or selling the home that holds years of memories. I have learned and practice being there with them walking through those emotions with them. That’s how I help my clients.

I offer all my clients staging, with either traditional staging or exciting new ways that use your existing furniture or even digital staging services. I also help bring on a handyman as needed to ensure they are getting the most out of their home sale.

Right now, we are seeing lots of homeowners take advantage of the equity they have in their home and are moving up into a larger home that fits the growing family needs, or out of the area altogether. During that time, I am able to help alleviate some of the stress of Selling by negotiating a longer stay in their home after it sells to allow them extra time to find their new home. Highest priced offer every time guaranteed.
