Community Highlights: Meet Victoria Voos of FlyForAGinger

Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Voos.

Hi Victoria, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
All it took was a friend that told me I could do it. I could be a plus-size influencer if I wanted to. I believed her enough to start and I started to really enjoy posting on social media as FlyForAGinger. Eventually, I took some courses and even hired a coach to dive deep into being a content creator and influencer. Fast forward eight months and I hit the coveted 10k followers on Instagram! Shortly after I hit 10k on Tik Tok as well and then I started my own coaching business – FlyForACoach.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Growing an Instagram account can feel like pushing a boulder uphill at times. It made such a difference having online and in-real-life friends that are also influencers and get the struggle. Having a coach makes a big difference too – shout out to my coach Brianne Huntsman!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a plus-size content creator who focuses on plus-size fashion and beauty; I am also an advocate for those with PCOS and Psoriasis and use my platform to shed light on my journey with both.

I’m proud to have created a community where I can uplift and inspire with body positivity and self-love practices. If you’re looking for your next plus-size friend, someone who can make you laugh and you can connect with, then come check me out on all the social channels at FlyForAGinger!

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was a lot more quiet and shy as a kid but still social with a group of friends. I grew up with my dad, which also influenced me to be a bit of a tomboy and into Pokemon and Nintendo. Eventually, I went to live with my mom and learned to make all new friends. Being in a new place with a mom who made me very aware of my weight was something that made loving myself really difficult. I always knew I was overweight but now that I was with someone who commented on every meal and my activity level, I really felt it on another level. It’s taken a lot of years to get out of my shell and also love myself but I am happy with how far I am in my journey and love helping others with theirs.
