Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Pritz.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
When I was younger, I hated my body. Absolute hatred. I remember I would come home from school and grab my belly fat and squeeze and be so sad. Then, I would eat and in my family, I was sometimes praised for how much I could eat in one sitting. That’s a terrible thing- to not love the vessel you are given. To not appreciate how it looks or how it works. I knew I did not want to be sad. I had to make some changes. I started researching about healthy foods, exercise- all of it! I’m so happy that I had to learn all of that at a young age and that truly carries over into my philosophies about health to this day. To do the research and experiment with what works for your body individually. I ended up going to school for nutritional sciences while working as a group fitness coach. Once I moved to California, I took a long break from it. Until I met my husband and many of my friends at Performance 360. I feel like I’ve ended up right where I am supposed to be!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
You know what? I feel like if you have solid friendships, you can do anything. The support you get from people that love you can move mountains. I feel like I’ve had a ton of support in my life and a lot of opportunities because of that. So from the outside, the struggles have been minimal. The biggest struggles I’ve faced have been inflicted upon me, by me. Self-doubt, Imposter syndrome, body image issues, feelings that I’m not good enough. My advice for other women and young women is to lean on your friends. Let them support you. Listen to how they speak to you and about you. Look at how they love you. I strongly believe that the people that love you can strengthen you. They can build your confidence. They can teach you how to love yourself and love others.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Performance 360 story. Tell us more about it.
I love what I do and being a part of Performance 360!!
Not only do I get to coach group classes at Performance 360, but I am also their new member liaison and Nutrition coach. Which honestly, is just getting to know unfamiliar faces. I get to break the ice for strangers coming into what could be an intimidating environment for them. I help to familiarize them with friendly faces, exercises, coaches and help them build mindfulness and structure around their new membership. I also get to chat with people about their mindset around how they feed their bodies. Nutrition means something different to everyone. The conversations about each individual’s views are the best part.

I listen to a ton of podcasts nowadays. I have a solid mix of everything. When it comes to learning about the body and nutrition, I love the Precision Nutrition podcast. Their views align with a lot of my views and they do a good job at relaying unbiased information. A major podcast recommendation I have for anyone trying to do their best in life is Super Soul conversations by Oprah. Need I say more?! The Outside podcast is a fun one- they are kind of like the mythbusters of radio. Ted Radio hour is also another favorite of mine, but I can easily spiral into a million different rabbit holes off of that one.
One of my all-time favorite resources, that I think everyone could benefit from is consumerlabs.com. Having info on what you put into your body is important in my mind. This site is great for vitamins, minerals, and supplements.
