Conversations with the Inspiring Brittni De La Mora

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittni De La Mora.

Brittni, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I grew up in a broken household which often left me feeling unloved and rejected. I began my search for love and acceptance in high school through different men. However, they only left me feeling more rejected than before. I continued my search and eventually was lead into the adult film industry where I performed as an adult film star for seven years of my life. I fell into severe depression and was desperate for help. I knew if I didn’t get the help I would commit suicide. I began to search for help and my search led me to Jesus! I encountered Jesus at Cornerstone Church of San Diego. Through seeking God daily, my life has been radically changed by Him. He has given me a second chance at life. I am not a product of my past nor my mistakes. He has made me a new creation! I see life so much differently now. I see everyone and everything with the eyes of love. God has given me the strength to forgive every single person that hurt me in the past. I am married to the most amazing man of God and we travel the world together to share our testimony and to preach the gospel. Once God healed my heart, my heart began to break for those who are still living like I once was. This became the birth for my ministry Alway Loved. Always Loved serves as a bridge to help women who want out of the sex industry cross from one side of life and into the next. It’s amazing to see God move in their lives the way He has mine. My husband and I are on a mission to show the world that regardless of your mistakes, your past, or your upbringing there is a God who loves you unconditionally and is always willing to lend you a helping hand. He longs to help each and every one of us, we just have to be willing to open our hearts to Him.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been easy, but that’s life. We can’t expect everything to be perfect all the time, that would be unreasonable. I had to deal with criticism and financial deficit. I went from making over $30,000 a month to less than $12 an hour when I left the adult industry. That wasn’t easy. But God humbled me and strengthened me through these times. He taught me that regardless of what people say about me I am still loved and worthy. He taught me that the negative opinions of people don’t matter. He also taught me the value of a dollar. Now, that I am making more money (through writings books, and through mine and my husband’s real estate and landscaping companies) I know how to manage my money which is such a blessing because I wasn’t good at this in the past.

The advice I would give to young women who are still on this journey is, embrace the difficult seasons, cling to God, and never give up. The difficult seasons of life will teach you more than the easy seasons of life ever will. There are always lessons to be learned in life that will help you in your future. Make sure that you make the most of every season! Don’t let any season break you, but let it create something greater within you.

What should we know about Always Loved/Brittni De La Mora Ministries? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I wear many hats. I am an author, preacher/public speaker, real estate agent, and the founder of Always Loved.

I am most proud when I get to see women be transformed right before my very eyes. All I want to do with my life is help others live a life better than the one I once did. I want to help people walk in victory, so when I get to see that through Always Loved, then I am extremely proud because I know that I’m doing so, I am fulfilling my life’s purpose.

For good reason, society often focuses more on the problems rather than the opportunities that exist, because the problems need to be solved. However, we’d probably also benefit from looking for and recognizing the opportunities that women are better positioned to capitalize on. Have you discovered such opportunities?
I believe all women can fulfill their life’s purpose. We as women need to set our standards. Don’t allow people to mistreat you just because you are a woman. Sometimes, you don’t even need to say anything, your actions will prove them wrong as long as you keep working hard and fighting for what you are called to do. Don’t give up and pray your way through it, eventually, God will bring the right opportunities your way and you will do all that you’re called to do.
