Conversations with the Inspiring Cristy Joy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cristy Joy.

Cristy, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.

I’ve always collected rocks & I’ve always liked shiny things. One day I started collecting crystals, which to me were just shiny rocks. Then I started hearing about how crystals have healing properties, which I thought was interesting. So one day, I see an ad online for a Crystal Reiki class. I thought that sounded cool. Maybe I could learn about the crystals I’ve collected & those healing properties I heard about. So, I signed up.

After I registered, I read the details of the course and realized Reiki training was a prerequisite. I really just wanted to just skip to learning about my stones. However, integrity is important to me, and so I followed the rules. I signed up for the Reiki class with the same teacher. I’m so thankful I did! I had a very powerful attunement that really just blew my mind, I learned about the daily Reiki mantras that I just completely love & adore, and my life has improved tremendously since I’ve begun the daily self-Reiki treatments. I just intuitively feel so connected with the entire thing, and since day one, it’s been a natural addition to my daily regimen.

After some time, I felt a calling to start using Reiki to heal others, but I wasn’t sure I was ready yet. I wanted to wait until the timing was right. A few months after that, I went on a trip to Sedona, and it was there that I received the nudge to begin my Reiki pilgrimage.

Upon returning home, I met up with a friend to share the experience of my trip. It was a busy Saturday night. A homeless gentleman with a tender soul asked if we could help him. I had some extra granola bars in my bag, which I gave to him. We then began walking towards a cafe, when I suddenly felt a warming sensation in my hands. I went back to the man and asked if I could try Reiki on him, and briefly explained to him what it was. He said sure.

So, right there in the middle of the sidewalk, on a busy Saturday night in the middle of North Hollywood, I got down on my knees and put my hands up facing towards him. He sat there silently with his dog.

I’m not sure if you’ve ever played the game Street Fighter II, but if you have, that’s EXACTLY what it felt like. I saw (and powerfully felt) this “ring of energy” beaming from my hands towards him, just like Ryu’s fireballs in the game! It was like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. Meanwhile, people were commenting in the background about what was going on, but I was in the zone. Completely locked in.

Afterwards, we grounded ourselves (which is important to do after a session), and I asked the gentleman if he felt anything. He gave me the most earnest, sweetest look, and said he felt a warming sensation in his heart. After that, two friends I was with gave him some money, and we were all about to be on our way. The gentleman then looked at all of us, pointed at my friends and said “Thank you, and thank you.” He then looked at me and he said “But most of all, thank you.” That was my first experience sharing Reiki, and I’ve been doing it ever since.

What should we know about CJoy Vibrancy? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?

I’m a certified Usui Reiki Master & Teacher, a certified Crystal Reiki Healer, and a member of the International Reiki Organization. However, these certifications are only just the beginning, as training is ongoing for me.

Throughout the process of being a healer, I’ve discovered just how interconnected our minds, emotions, and bodies are. At the time of this article being printed, I’ve had just begun a life coaching course, as well as deepening my studies in chakra healing. Reiki is such an intuitive art of healing, that I’ve also completed psychic & mediumship courses.

I’m extremely passionate about providing a fully customized and thorough Reiki session that truly assists the recipient in activating their own healing process. The more I can continue learning and growing, the better I can be able to meet everyone’s needs.

CJoy Vibrancy is just me, Cristy Joy, and I do not believe in competition. Healing/health is our birthright. The more people who have access to Reiki and to other healing modalities, the better!

For good reason, society often focuses more on the problems rather than the opportunities that exist, because the problems need to be solved. However, we’d probably also benefit from looking for and recognizing the opportunities that women are better positioned to capitalize on. Have you discovered such opportunities?

I have discovered that there is an abundance of opportunities everywhere. It just depends on where you look and what you focus your attention on.
