Conversations with the Inspiring Rose Bud

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rose Bud.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Rose. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Growing up, my father was a chef and restaurant owner. Being a foodie is first nature – not a fad.

In the early networking stage, I came across the owner of a local news website. He needed a food writer for his food column and I volunteered. Through reviewing restaurants, I made many friends in the culinary industry and discovered a true passion.

I became fascinated by the possibilities of social media, talking about food and living the foodie life, so much so, that I created Rosebud Tastebuds. Rosebud Tastebuds is a platform where I harness my creative talent to showcase the culinary world. I established an account on all major social medias so that could share photos and write about dishes, chefs, foodie events, restaurant reviews, etc.

Through further networking, I met Eddie, a creative talent. He said he was savvy with the camera and I said I’m savvy with the food and that is how we co-created a web series featuring top chefs of Temecula Wine Country with me, as the hostess. We launched “Tastefully Yours,” on Rosebud Tastebuds YouTube channel with 2 episodes in. Eventually, I found out Eddie is Hailey Duff’s photographer and an award wining filmmaker.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s always tougher at the starting point of creative projects. A lot of time and effort goes into building something that is worth while yet you are the giver and not the receiver. It is also a time when you should let your passion shine brightest and let that carry you through.

what should we know about ROSEBUD TASTEBUDS? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a foodie, blogger and Southern California native.

The Rosebud Tastebuds YouTube channel features exclusive cooking demos from top chefs of Temecula Wine Country in a web series called, “Tastefully Yours.” What sets me apart from other is that I am a personality intrinsic to my brand. This is why I named it Rosebud followed by Tastebuds. As your hostess, I go beyond food by taking interest in the people behind the scenes.

When I cannot capture a scene on video, I enjoy writing about it. My blog,, has a collection of articles documenting my foodie adventures. I photograph food, people and places and illustrate them with cool stories.

I have acquired a BA in psychology from Cal State University of San Bernardino. This knowledge has helped me understand the market, human behavior and trends. Overall, I see myself as an artist – a person who enjoys the art of expression. I was a timid kid growing up, so I am proud for putting myself out there and embarrassing my uniqueness and imperfections.

Looking back on your childhood, what experiences do you feel played an important role in shaping the person you grew up to be?
My father was chef and owner of Mexican food restaurants growing up. I enjoyed going to work with my dad. When I was old enough, I helped out by washing dishes and manning the cash register. I also tapped into my creative side by entering art and poetry contests.
