Conversations with Art Banymandhub

Today we’d like to introduce you to Art Banymandhub.

Hi Art, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I created Pacific Beach Arts Company to bring together all of the different creative ways to develop a love of music and learning. Having a strong belief in learning through experience, the company was set up to take up-to-date classroom teaching principles and apply them in an in-home, extracurricular setting, allowing students of all ages to access content that may not be present in the day-to-day learning experience. Furthermore, by bringing the experiences of music and education together, I believe that we help students to achieve the very best whilst enjoying the journey.

Pacific Beach Arts Company was launched during the Covid-19 Pandemic in order to bring in-home learning experiences to students during school closures. Safety, alongside full CDC and state guidance, was followed, and it has been amazing to see how we have given access to learning to students of all ages. We even offer online sessions for students to develop skills remotely!

Viewing education as a venture for life, we learn every day, growing as we continue to bring creativity into every aspect of learning in our community, making Pacific Beach Arts Company the home of your education requirements.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The Covid-19 Pandemic has caused hurdles for many people around the world, and it has been no different at Pacific Beach Arts Company. The decision to start the business was a big leap, having recently relocated to the San Diego area. However, deciding to take the leap and trust in my skills and passion for education, all challenges were met head first and have helped to grow the company to bring the very best service to our students.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I have worked in music since 2012, having started playing the guitar at eight years old. As a musician, I have released music as a solo bass guitarist, composer, and arranger for musicians and artists in both Europe and the United States. My works and collaborations have been released in different media formats such as print and audio, with tours of the UK and Mauritius being a part of my experience. As a musician, I would say that my specialisms are in composition and music theory, with a focus on guitar, bass, and ukulele. I am also the double bassist in the folk duo Lauren Bradford, having released two albums, and performed in European festivals over the past seven years. In music, two of my biggest achievements would have to be touring the island of Mauritius and having a collaborated piece of work showcased publicly in a Church in the English city of Leeds.

Living in the United Kingdom, I trained as a teacher, specializing in multiple subjects and working professionally for six years in education. During this time, my classroom and teaching style has been defined by the inclusivity of each student, the open exploration of learning on offer, and the ability to reach further goals without a fear of failure. This ability to study without fear is a key principle that has helped to shape the ethos of Pacific Beach Arts Company.

Bringing my experiences in music into a wide range of subjects has allowed for the opportunity to teach from a source of passion. It is this passion that allows for Pacific Beach Arts Company to separate from the competition by bringing enthusiasm and creativity into all aspects of learning. The principles learned from my musical background have helped to transform the learning experience of many students to date. Furthermore, believing that we continue to grow with each day, as an educator, I learn each day, always developing to deliver the very best service to the communities and students that Pacific Beach Arts Company works with.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
For myself, I believe that inclusion, creativity, passion, and a strong work ethic are essential to the success of Pacific Beach Arts Company. Using these key principles allows for every student to grow in a safe, supportive, and fun environment. This achieves the very best results, regardless of age.
