Conversations with LaQuanda Williams

Today we’d like to introduce you to LaQuanda Williams.

Hi LaQuanda, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have a background in Sourcing/Supply Chain. I’ve always been different and stood out in different areas of my life. During the start of the pandemic is when I got started. Masks became a part of the life we know today, and the basic ones just weren’t cutting it for me. So, I put on my sourcing hat and searched for designs often creating my own and things took off from there. My business is mostly online, but you can also find me at various pop-ups from San Diego to LA. I also listen to what people want and seek out other items and accessories to add to my business.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I often say you learn the most from your challenges. From gauging design interest to forgetting vital items needed during a pop-up or weather challenges during an event it hasn’t been a smooth road. Those are the times when you find out what you are really made of. Those challenges have also been rewarding in a way that I have met some really great business owners and repeat customers along the way. I love interacting with people, and I believe energy is contagious. I also believe great customer service goes along way. Despite those challenges, I strive to put a smile on someone’s face and help them standout in their own unique way.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Aside from being the owner of Qs Bling Essentials, I am a Notary Public and offer mobile Notary services for my area. Full-time I am a Merchandise Coordinator, and in that role, I do copy edits, season builds, and audits. In addition to those things, I have also had the opportunity to work as an on-call courier for liver transplants. In that role, I am often called as backup for a transplant job where I wait on the organ and either take it from one hospital to another or to a waiting pilot who will then take it to another hospital. That job is definitely heart work as I feel like I am a part of a bigger picture to help save a life. I believe what sets me apart from others is my energy. I have a heart for people and love to be of service in a positive way.

How do you define success?
I define success as helping others to shine. Our world is filled with so many challenges that have caused a great deal of stress among us all. I don’t believe you meet people by accident. I am encourager, a lover of the color blue (like seriously, all things blue) and a learner constantly seeking out ways to grow forward. I believe that if you have a light you can share with others, you should do that because everyone deserves to shine in their own way.
