Conversations with the Inspiring Jasmin Rain

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmin Rain.

Jasmin, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I got started at a fairly young age. When I was about 5 years old, I knew I wanted to be either a model, actress or both! Balancing modeling and school became tough, but with the boom of social media at the start of my freshman year of High School, it became easier and easier to make a name for myself while being able to do other activities & finish school.

Has it been a smooth road?
This process has been smooth for the most part. There are its ups & downs, but there are in most situations. In my case, they were personal struggles. Mostly finding who I am and what I want to accomplish. Also, trying not to compare yourself to others can be tough to avoid but staying true to yourself and staying focused has helped me. I would tell young women to keep their head up, live life for themselves, don’t let anyone control how they feel because you are in control of your own life.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into your business story. Tell us more about the business.
I am a model and social media influencer. What that means is I use my social media (Instagram, Snapchat, etc.) to promote a product, brand, etc. I believe my look sets me apart from others. I have very distinct long hair, I’m biracial (Filipino & White) and my body type.

What do you feel are the biggest barriers today to female leadership, in your industry or generally?
I believe the biggest barriers (in general) is not supporting each other enough. As women, we must stick together and try to accept and understand one another.
