Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristin Rovito.
Hi Kristin, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started getting involved in real estate because I love how it can be used as a wealth-building tool for clients and recognize how big of an impact a good agent can have in someone’s life. In a way, helping my clients buy and sell their homes is a way for me to continue serving my community and helping my neighbors.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
A career in real estate is not always easy or glamourous. My days do not look like what you see on TV. In the Navy, I learned many skills that are translating well into real estate. First and foremost being time management. My alarm goes off bright and early; I get a good workout in and then start my day, which normally lasts well into the evening. Secondly, I learned perseverance and resiliency. We have all heard how wild this seller’s market has been. Keeping clients motivated and learning to adapt to our ever-changing environment has been crucial.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m an expert real estate agent with Tidal Realty in San Diego, CA and the nearby area, providing home-buyers and sellers with professional, responsive and attentive real estate services. As a Navy veteran, I specialize in working with VA buyers and happy to help my fellow veterans find the right home for them!
I am most proud of the opportunities I have been given to help my clients find their perfect homes and the smiles I bring to their faces when I hand them the keys to their new homes! What sets me apart from others is that I know what my clients are going through. I have PCSed across the country, I have used my VA loan, I have done renovations, etc. My ability to empathize with my clients pushes me to go above and beyond for them.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I believe in taking calculated risks. I’m not one to jump in head first into something without a bit of research and education first. Real estate is an investment and investments are risky. When I discuss this topic with my clients, we talk about the pros and cons of their decisions. Knowledge is the best weapon to mitigate risk. However, I must respect their individual risk tolerance level and help them find a solution that fits best for them.
