Daily Inspiration: Meet Luisa Sakatani

Today we’d like to introduce you to Luisa Sakatani.

Hi Luisa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Once I graduated high school, I was lost and didn’t know what I wanted for my future. I thought that the only way to be successful was to go to college and eventually a university to get a degree but quickly, I realized that’s not true at all. I eventually found my way to the Manicurist program in San Diego City College and I loved it. I documented my start and progress on my Instagram and started gaining potential clients. Now I’m done with school and loving my career path!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I struggled so much in the beginning with the idea of meeting new people everyday because I am such an introvert! However, I quickly got used to it and now I enjoy it.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a nail artist that specializes in acrylic nail extensions. I’ve recently started to dabble with free-hand art which is what is setting me apart from other nail artists. It’s hard to learn something new. However, I am proud of my drive to keep learning and evolving because in this industry, you should never stop learning.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success to me means you are proud of yourself in life and you have reached the goals you have set for yourself from the start.
