Daily Inspiration: Meet The Voices Of NBBC

Today we’d like to introduce you to The Voices Of NBBC. Them and their team share their story with us below:

The Voices of NBBC is a group that extended from the young adult ministry at New Bethel Baptist Church. Being that we are all members of the same church and ultimately family, we decided to band together to change the outlook on the younger generation. With the perception that we are a Godless, lost generation hanging over our heads we wanted to show the world that we can still be “hip” but use our influence to lift the spirit of our people.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There’s a process with everything valleys and peaks but with the power of God leading and the support of an entire church congregation, the adversity is easier to bear. We collaborate on every aspect of the journey from making music to community outreach.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We are a group that specializes in making Gospel/Hip hop music bridging the gap between the new age of churchgoers and the original saints. We are proud to know that the music we are making is positive and uplifting, so much so that elders 60 & older to children as young as 2 years old have learned the words and sing them proudly. We are set apart by God to do a work that most people our age have already turned away from and that’s speaking life, Loveland prosperity to our fellow man.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Two of our members are originally rappers, LeRoy Henley IV aka LeeBoi, and Daniel Darensbourg aka Danny Phantom. We partnered with the label Satellite Music Entertainment LLC which comes to record and distribute our music as a collective.
