Today we’d like to introduce you to Nallely Urias.
Hi Nallely, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Nallely Urias, born and raised in San Diego, California. Ever since I could remember, I’ve always loved makeup and fashion. It comes naturally self-thought and still learning. There is always room for improvement. But I could also blame my mom for it since I was a baby. She would always go above and beyond in dressing me up with a whole matching outfit from the smallest details, bow, socks, shoes. It all had to match. I never forget it would fascinate me watching her as a child when she would curl her lashes and add a bold fuchsia or red lipstick. I started doing makeup as a hobby in my free time. This quarantine made me go crazy, so I was like, why not let’s do it. Now or never. With love and lots of discipline, I started making small videos on my Instagram doing my makeup and posting my makeup tips. The tremendous good feedback, views and support from strangers I was getting would always leave me speechless. I believe as a woman, we are beautiful in our own unique ways but with makeup, it accentuates all that beauty. It makes us glow within and gives us that confidence that we all need once in a while. It also makes us feel we could run the world.
Let me tell you I had all odds against me from being a woman, Latina, medium class, and having scoliosis, which that to me that is not a disability. It just makes me stronger and pushes me to show other people that we are all capable of doing something in life. It’s just the will and loves you willing to put it. And of course, make my parents proud and someday repay them for all the love, support and sacrifices they have done for me. So I decided to go all in. I said, what do I got to lose, I started designing my own makeup beauty sponges and from that, I went on to brushes and lip glosses and lipsticks and cleansers for the brushes and sponges. Let me tell you, it all took me over six months to come out with this and to form my own small business. Which I absolutely love and don’t regret any decision at all. I literally invested all my money in this. Lots of sleepless nights, the stress was to another level. I cried and in the middle of it, all wanted to give up, but I pushed myself through it and all the obstacles because if it was not one thing, it was another.
I wanted all detail to be perfect and when people would see my product would feel the love I have for makeup and that is now my small business self made “Yelliezdoll.” Beauty, lifestyle and wellness. All products I sell, I use on a daily basis I would not put my heart and soul and name in something I don’t believe in. In the small tutorials on my Instagram, I show how I apply all these products and give tips on how to do basic everyday makeup to more luxurious going out night makeup.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
No, not at all, half way from forming my business to the day I had everything in my hands, I wanted to call it quits. It’s scary starting your own business. The stress is to another level doing it all by yourself is hard. From designing choosing colors making sure you have a good quality product to working with a certain amount of money, its to another level hard. To top it off, you have a life a family that needs you, and this takes most of your day. Like I mention I also have scoliosis and doctor appointments, physical therapy so managing time was also a struggle, but when you want something so bad and you discipline yourself and you do what you love, everything finds its way and works at its perfect timing.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Yelliezdoll. Beauty, Lifestyle and Wellness?
I am a Latina women self-thought makeup artist with a small business called Yelliezdoll. I am known for my makeup videos and makeup tips that I give in Instagram and now for my small beauty line. What sets me apart from others is that I’m a Latina woman that believes that we all have our own unique beauty, and in this life, anything is possible if you do it with love and discipline. I have scoliosis, and not even that stops me and I want to show people that people might judge you and criticize you, but if you love yourself and always put yourself first, amazing things happen.
What I am most proud of my brand is that I did it all by myself from the smallest details. It was all made by me. My business is not only about makeup but also about beauty, lifestyle and wellness, I want to motivate people that no matter what obstacles or what you have been through in your life and your past, anything is possible. Love conquers it all.
