Meet Shelley Linde of Linde Properties

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shelley Linde.

Hi Shelley, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am originally from the Bay Area, where I raised my family. After years of ballet dance and teaching dance, yoga and pilates, I entered the world of business. I was in commercial sales initially for several years designing large-scale security systems before I went back to school to study Interior Design and Art. As a salesperson, I was one of the tops in the country and one of three women in the field. As you can imagine coming from an artistic background, I did not feel complete without a creative component to my profession. Upon completion of my schooling in addition to interior design work and kitchen/bath remodels, I started staging homes for realtors.

I thoroughly enjoy the process of creating a space, a mood and creating drama. Sometimes I create art pieces to go with a particular space. I have been in Real Estate now for 17 years; 11 of those years have been in San Diego working out of Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty-Rancho Santa Fe Office. I work with my husband, who has been a Realtor for ten years. He comes from a CPA background. We are the perfect balance for Real Estate, and now my daughter Amoreena Berg has joined our team. Amoreena is very versatile and full of energy. She is a licensed therapist bringing experience needed in a field that requires working with people closely during big life changes. Amoreena is also a professional photographer and a great assistant when we do complimentary staging for some of our listings. Clients tell me that we go above and beyond in service. I live in North County, San Diego, with my husband and three delightful parrots who enjoy a very special enormous aviary I designed.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The most difficult challenge has been moving from spending most of my life in the Bay Area to San Diego. We love the weather here, and because of our love for the ‘birds,’ we wanted to live somewhere for them to enjoy the weather as well. I remember my own move, driving from Northern California to San Diego with parrots in a rented van. We drove through the night as they slept. Of course, the next morning, they were ready to play with no place to go and we were ready for bed.

Starting life up in a different city is a challenge but change does make life more interesting. Real Estate is a challenge at times; it is ever-changing and requires the ability to grow and be flexible. We deal with the changing markets, the changing trends in styles and we deal with families going through the change of a new baby, retirement, divorce, relocation and promotion.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I work with my team for Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty. I picked this company because they are international and a first-class operation. I work North County San Diego from La Jolla to Carlsbad.

Any big plans?
My future plan is to learn to enjoy the moments more; this past couple of years with the pandemic has been a wake-up call to appreciate more and enjoy more. We are fortunate to live in beautiful San Diego.
