Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristen Such.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up a curious kid but was quickly molded with limiting beliefs such as you should be a doctor, work in finance, or be a lawyer. Like many lost kids, I ended up graduating college with a degree in finance and supply chain, but not because I had any interest in it, I just thought it would make me “successful.” After college, I landed my first job at Under Armour in Baltimore, Maryland. I was at my dream company, but I was completely miserable. I even remember calling my mom, telling her I felt like my soul was dying, and asking if life should feel this bad. I ended up lasting 18 months in the corporate world and eventually quit. I had little to no plan but ended up becoming a full-time yoga teacher at my yoga studio. I was poor, but I knew I was on my path and so happy!
During my time as a yoga teacher, I hosted women’s transformation retreats. It lit me up in a way nothing had before. For weeks after, I was pondering how I could facilitate even deeper transformations and finally, I found coaching. I yet again followed my intuition and started my own coaching business in April of 2020. Now I am a leadership and confidence coach, helping new coaches get their business off the ground and have the confidence to go after a life of fulfillment! Since then, I’ve been able to triple my corporate income and go full-time in my coaching business!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Haha, definitely not smooth. Entrepreneurship is a messy yet beautiful journey because it is a mirror to you, your biggest insecurities. I always tell my clients, “your business grows as much as you do, and it also stays as small as you do!” If you don’t play big, your business will not succeed.
One of the biggest struggles was showing up for my business, and I mean really showing up day in and day out. In the beginning, it’s so easy to get caught up in “day one issues.” what are my peers going to think of me? Will I look dumb on my stories? And honestly, these fears hold a lot of people back. But If you can get past them (which is a big part of my program), you will be unstoppable.
A struggle I feel like I have mostly overcome but still comes up from time to time is simply dealing with the uncertainty of entrepreneurship. Every single day comes with new challenges to overcome, new emotions to overcome, and a lot of uncertainty. The more you can self-regulate your emotions and deal with your daily triggers, the better off and more successful you will be!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
In my coaching business, I help entrepreneurs heal their self-doubt to show up confidently and reach their next level in life and business. I specialize in limiting belief work by using self-healing modalities such as inner child work and shadow work.
What sets me apart is I merge mindset and customized strategy to help my clients create an aligned business plan to help them flourish. Most coaches only focus on mindset or only focus on strategy, and the truth is you need both to succeed!
My main offering is a 12-week program called Alignment Mastery. It is hybrid programming meaning it has both a group and 1:1 aspect. There are ten modules dripped out over 12 weeks where you learn everything you need to know about building unshakable confidence & taking aligned action to reach your business goals. There are weekly group masterminds and then bi-weekly 1:1 calls with me! We cover everything from limiting beliefs, setting boundaries to business strategy.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love how there is both the beach and the mountains in such close proximity. It also so close to so many other amazing cities and places to visit!
