Inspiring Conversations with Briana Rowe of Goldeneye Swim

Today we’d like to introduce you to Briana Rowe.

Hi Briana, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born in Western Australia and moved to California at six years old. I went to college at the University of Hawaii at Manoa on the island of Oahu where I received my Bachelor of Science in Fashion Design and Merchandising. I worked at a Swimwear store, interned for another Swimwear company, and wore swimwear daily. I was obsessed with Bikinis and bought a new one almost weekly. I designed a resort wear collection which included Swimwear in the 2017 annual fashion show at UH, and that was the exact moment that I knew I needed to have my own Swimwear line. After graduating college, I traveled to 20 countries and this was when the vision for Goldeneye Swim was born.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It’s been a fairly smooth road, as I’m an expert in everything related to swimwear, trends, and design. One of the biggest struggles along the way was finding a reliable factory to work with, as this requires a lot of research along with long lead times, communication barriers, and high minimum orders. Due to COVID, many factories dropped their MOQ’s which helped me get my designs made much faster!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Goldeneye Swim is a luxury swimwear company with the motto of ‘Living in the Golden Light’. Our brand encompasses all that is light, positive, and fun for a journey through an endless summer. We are known for using high-quality fabrics sourced from Italy, and we work with an ethical/eco-friendly factory to limit our carbon footprint. Brand wise, we are most proud of how innovative and adaptive we are to the how the fashion world is evolving.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
We are beyond excited to continue to establish our brand in San Diego!
