Inspiring Conversations with Juan Antonio Alamilla of The Alamilla Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Juan Antonio Alamilla.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Juan Antonio Alamilla and I’m Born and Raised in San Diego, California. I was raised by a single mother and I’m her only child. I got my Real Estate License at 18 years old and started selling Real Estate right then. I decided to quit school right after high school and follow my entrepreneurial dreams. Right before Real Estate, I was working on building a business of Solar Panels Installation down in Tijuana.

I had to make a decision to stay doing the solar business or start selling Real Estate, and I decided to commit to my Real Estate business. I had a tough time at the beginning due to my young age, lack of experience, and lack of resources. I went through a lot of rejections and downs that made me learn a lot. I was really hungry of becoming successful at a young age that I never thought of quitting or doing things other people my age weren’t doing. Thanks to that, now I’ve been in the business for six years, I’m in the Top 10% producers of Realtors in San Diego, just bought my first income property at the age of 25, and I’m running a 6 figure business that’s growing every year. I’m in the beginning of my journey and can’t wait to keep growing and learning.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not a smooth road, my biggest challenges were 1. My young age – It was difficult for me to be confident because I was inexperienced selling Real Estate and I was a kid with a babyface, and it’s hard for people to trust someone really young. It took me time and hard work to master what I do, and now I can say I’m the best option to help someone buy or sell a home. 2. Finding what works best for me through trial and error – It took me time to know what activities really worked for me to get more business.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My team and I specialize in Residential and Commercial Real Estate. We help our clients invest in Real Estate. Either they’re looking to sell their home, buy a home to live in it, or buy properties to rent them out and have an income every month from their properties. We focus on providing great customer service and guiding our clients through the whole process. We’re really passionate about investing in Properties because in the long run, you build wealth (equity).

Our main goal is to help our clients achieve wealth through Real Estate. People will always need a place to live, and either they will rent or buy. Therefore there will always be demand. Home values and rents will keep going up in the long term, especially in big cities like San Diego, where there is a lot of people constantly moving in. When they ask me when is the right time to buy a property, I always say NOW is the right time to start owning Real Estate!

Who else deserves credit in your story?
I give credit first of all to my Mother. She raised me alone and always saw her example of working hard and never quitting. She motivates me to keep growing so I can help her financially and get her out of work. I want her to enjoy life and not worry about anything.

Also, I have to give credit to all my clients for trusting me. It means the world to me because of them I’m here right now. Also, to all my mentors throughout my years in the business and especially to Voltaire Lepe. He has been my Mentor for the last two years and has been helping me grow my business to another level. And lastly, my whole team, my assistant, my photographer, my Title Representative, my Lenders, my contractors, my Escrow Officers, my referral partners, etc. Thanks to all these people, I’m where I am today!!
