Today we’d like to introduce you to Christine Ng.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I currently live in La Jolla, California. My passion for food pushed me to create a public food Instagram account with my best friend, Audrey, a year ago. We capture the food we eat from all the restaurants in San Diego and Los Angeles.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I am so glad that so far, it has been a smooth road for me in this foodie Instagram world. I get a chance to meet a lot of local foodie friends here in San Diego and Los Angeles as well. We all go out, eat, take pictures, and have fun all the time.
If I can give a piece of advice to other women out there who are just starting their journey, I would say that they should definitely go out there and surround themselves with people who have the same passion and hobby like them. Not only they would gain more friends, but they could be a part of a community that they could build together by doing what they love.
For me, Instagram and friendship have one thing in common. It is like a plant that you have to water every day to be able to grow and be fruitful. It does require a lot of time spent and hard work, but it is not work, when you love what you do!
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
My Instagram is called @thedoubleeaterz. It specializes in featuring local restaurants here in San Diego and Los Angeles.
I am so proud of the authenticity of my account. I would love to thank all my true followers for all the love and support. The cherry on top would be when local businesses put their trusts in @thedoubleeaterz to promote their products and services. That validates all the hard work I have done for this account. My goal would be to continue to maintain the content quality of this account for my followers to enjoy and also hoping to do more collaborations with local businesses in the future.
According to some of my followers, what sets me apart from other food bloggers is the fact that I always capture my nails as part of my food pictures. So, when people put a watermark in their pictures, I put my nail art as my watermark.
Who have you been inspired by?
My Mom is always my biggest inspiration. She always says, “Be confident of who you are, work hard, be humble of your achievements, and don’t forget to always thank God for everything!”
