Life and Work with Jennifer Tarve

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Tarver.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jennifer. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I went to fashion school in San Francisco three years ago and have always had a huge passion of fashion, beauty and lifestyle. I finally started a blog but wasn’t that dedicated to it. The past year, I finally put hard work and a ton of passion and co-consistency to my Instagram and my blog. I have found so many other inspirational bloggers and met some awesome people on my journey. I picked up my life in the Bay Area and moved to San Diego for a new start and met a awesome community of the blogger world and I am just on the journey to keep growing and doing what I love.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course, it hasn’t been smooth, it’s extremely hard to be working a full time job and then also full time dedicated to the blog. I def still struggle with not having enough content on my blog and only focusing on Instagram right now. But, I personally think it’s all part of the process and journey.

My biggest advice I always give is “just keep going, be consistent and don’t let others opinion phase you… as long as your doing what you love and putting content up you love that’s all that matters.”

Please tell us about @steady_silhouettes.
So, on my day to day job, I’m a full time nanny and I part time work at a fashion boutique as a stylist.

My brand is my blog and I just keep putting up content of what I love to do and that’s mainly the style and beauty aspect of life. I’m also new here to San Diego so, I love to explore the new places and talk about them all as well.

What advice would you give to someone at the start of her career?
Don’t let the hard times win, don’t let that struggles take over your journey… you might feel stuck or not inspired don’t let that define you. Just keep going, staying consistent is the biggest thing for me with the blogging world. As long as you love what you’re doing and showing then it will all fall in place!
