Life & Work with Edward Nightingale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Edward Nightingale.

Hi Edward, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started in Photography from my Dad at a young age of ten. I was always out with him on events via the Military which he served 22 years in the Air Force and was a Photo-Journalist. I watched his every move and started learning his language of speaking with clients and making them feel very comfortable. At age 18, my dad needed me to shoot a wedding by myself because his back had went out on him. I was like okay, I’ve only been to about 50 or so weddings with him. So between me learning on the job training with him and also the seminars he took me to. I had learned a lot and it was time to test my skills. After that wedding and wedding book that I created, the rest was history. I’m still evolving with the times and love the challenge and experiences I have had along the way. There are always ups and downs in the business, but I take the good with the bad and I have had a lot more beautiful Heartfelt moments with my clients. Doing Photography and Video has open me up to several moments that will always stick with me. Creating memories and art out of what I shoot is simply amazing to me. I love making people happy and putting that X factor in the equation.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Up and downs have been in my circle the last two years. Having to cancel several weddings due to Covid-19 really took a toll on my business. It’s such a sad time we are all in at this time. I have done a lot more In Loving Memory slide shows due to the circumstances that present itself now. I also do a lot of Angel wing, RIP images of people that have passed as well. There is nothing like a loved one passing away before his or her time and they leave it to me to create a Beautiful image they will last them there rest of their lives. I have to use multi-skills to survive and thrive. Not a one trick pony this way at all. I always say do what your passion about but also be smart and watch and learn how the times have changed as well…

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in Wedding Photography and Creative Art/Digital Design. My platform is clothing and creating artful images of my work. I love to do that and I also love doing High-Light videos. I keep them short and sweet so no one gets bored and also gets the heartfelt message across. I design wedding books for my clients and do High light slide show videos as well. I feel I’m like a mini Producer.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
They can work with me by referring clients for Weddings and Proposals and engagement shoots. I also work with other Photographer’s helping and assisting at times. I tell everyone it’s not about me it’s about our clients and the end results. Each one teach one and also each one train one. Anybody that passes away and needs a nice creative image of them, please send me a picture or to and I will do the rest.
