Today we’d like to introduce you to Adi Ramon and Noel Brady.
Adi andNoel, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Our journey began in 2013 in Eric & Adi’s home kitchen in Leucadia; husband & wife scientists making an artisanal homebrew with a personal goal to perfect kombucha fermentation and flavoring.
The emergence of the company came after they shared a bottle with their favorite yoga teacher Noel Brady, after a hot yoga class; The adventurous hearted yogi was so impressed he immediately wanted to help bring the Kombucha out to the community.
The three of us decided to team up and embarked on the next level; scaling up while maintaining quality, kegging and opening our homes to the community to come and fill their growlers from our home kegerators.
This was very much grassroots and we enjoyed doing it until we moved to our commercial kitchen in Carlsbad and started commercial sales in March 2016 under our original brand name Kombucha Culture. Today we are in close to 100 locations in so-cal and central coast with our on-tap offerings and recently launched bottles.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Starting and growing a business is challenging as much as it is exciting. Especially if it’s your first time! It’s a journey that one needs to be fully committed to. Lot’s of learning on the !y and taking in advice from colleagues who walked that path before; yet, mistakes aren’t fully avoidable and they are there for a reason.
Like life, it’s a teaching of balance, integrity, values, passion and devotion. We have given our minds & hearts to build the company to reach our high goals for the brand. We are “finding our way on the path of entrepreneurship to dedicate all that is needed to birth the brand alongside keeping a work-life balance so we can truly live our ethos from the inside out!
So, as you know, we’re impressed with M Kombucha – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We’re known for making a super high quality, delicious Kombucha using ingredients that have a positive impact on our well being. To us, kombucha is marrying fermentation sciences and microbiology with the balance of flavors that create an exceptionally intriguing and refreshing ancient beverage. One where tea is fermented and fruits, roots and botanicals are integrated, and a truly “healing tonic” is created.
Therefore, our kombucha not only delivers the prebiotic benefits of the fermentation process (live bacteria and health-promoting organic acids) but the flavors we formulate add another layer of health benefits (for example: Restore – turmeric, ginger, lemon, black pepper is an anti-inflammatory and alkalizing elixir).
Any brewer will agree that the biggest challenge of scaling up production is maintaining quality; our scientific background and commitment to premium quality allowed us to successfully scale up from our home brewing days to our current capacity and by adhering to what we’ve learned we continue to grow and serve the very best!
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We have big plans at M Kombucha; our vision is to transform the beverage industry by formulating functional beverages that are not only proven to be health promoting but are also delicious. Consumers will no longer need to make a choice compromise between health and taste. The Health and wellness movement is underway and people are becoming more aware of what they put in their bodies. Gut health is key to a healthy body and mind and kombucha plays a significant role in supporting a flourishing gut microbiome.
Our rebranding strategic team including Paul Taylor and Owl House Creatives has helped us tremendously in honing in on our essence and mission. We can’t wait to share more with our followers as we are finalizing our transition from Kombucha Culture to M Kombucha. Stay tuned!
