Meet Alicia Arango of Peach Florals in Vista

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alicia Arango.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Alicia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My parents have always worked with flowers, and foliage. It’s been a family business since I can remember. My mom is totally in love with flowers. Growing up though, I never wanted to help with the work. I did however learn a lot from them. I learned a lot as far as care, selections, getting the right tools etc. As I got older I somehow was always involved in event design, and that somehow turned into flower design. Friends were always complementing me on my floral work and encouraged me to do it as a business. I started off by doing friend’s events and although it’s hard, time consuming and exhausting, I always felt full after every event, that was when I decided to start Peach Florals. The main reason, I started Peach florals was my love of flowers but I also love meeting people, learning their stories and creating something personal to their story.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a smooth ride. I’ve had nights before events where I slept maybe 3 hours. Space was an issue for me in the beginning, I started off by doing florals in my living room. I carried all the buckets and stuff to my 2nd story apartment,

Peach Florals – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I specialize in Wedding Floral Design. As a floral designer, you would assume you would be known for a certain look or aesthetic, but if you were to ask my previous clients what they loved most about me, they would say that make the whole process really simple and I go above and beyond, that makes me really proud of what Peach Florals has become. One of my clients literally said to me. “Alie you are the only vendor we don’t have to worry about, you’ve made this whole process extremely easy.” I don’t just care about creating pretty looking florals but I genuinely care about the needs of those around me.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
One of the proudest moments in my career was when a client of mine showed me a design she saw online, so I could see what she wanted and it was MY design!!! Her whole look was based on something on I did!! it was awesome!
