Meet Ashley Boyle of Ride On Indoor Cycling & Fitness in Pacific Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Boyle.

Ashley, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started as a Personal Trainer working at big box gyms and then eventually had a large enough client base to work from home. In 2009 I had the amazing opportunity to buy a boutique Indoor Cycling studio in the Pacific Beach/Bay Park area. I added my own flair to the gym. I added different classes, different payment options and brought a very warm feel that Ride On was lacking before the purchase. I get to share my love for fitness with amazing people every day and I couldn’t be happier. Before my entrance into the fitness world I knew nothing about health. I was overweight and ate terribly. Now I have the opportunity to share my story and my passion and keep motivating my fitness family in ways I had previously only dreamed of.

Has it been a smooth road?
I always wondered if I was good enough. If I could actually make a difference in other people’s lives. Those thoughts still pop up from time to time but I know now I am good enough.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
My studio is primarily an Indoor Cycling studio. No push-ups no dancing no craziness. Just challenging and amazingly fun Cycling! We have Power Yoga now and very early into my takeover of Ride On, we have added Strength Circuits, themed rides, HIIT classes, Core Training and monthly Sunday fun events. There is a strong running presence at Ride On as well. I spread my love of running through my community and often members will do team races together.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I think San Diego in general is a wonderful community for a business like mine. It’s personal; we know you, your name, your story. San Diego is very active and really the perfect place for anyone starting out.
