Meet Austin Wing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Austin Wing.

Austin , let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
This is actually the third time I started a youtube channel. I was never able to produce content as consistently as I wanted but now I think I’ve done a good job putting out quality videos that people find entertaining and as a result I’ve built a really good following so far. I’ve always been interested in video production so this is something I’ve wanted to do for a while. I just want to make stuff that makes people happy and makes me happy.

Has it been a smooth road?
Initially my channel started off slow, people didn’t really mess with my content but when I started to figure out how to properly shoot my videos and what the viewers and subscribers wanted, more people started following me and watching. I never wanted to quit making these videos and seeing where it will bring me.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
Most of my videos are pranks and vlogs. It’s just my friends and I messing with people and having a good time. I do a series on my channel called hitting on girls in front of their boyfriends which demonstrates that I will go to extreme measures to make the videos as entertaining as possible and get the best genuine reactions. I think what connects me with others is that I’m just an average teenager, I do dumb stuff with friends and we like to embarass each other but what I think sets me apart is my commitment to the situations I throw myself into. I try not to back down and extend the reaction for as long as I can without getting punched.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
San Diego is the perfect city to make these videos. There’s always people outside so I never have to worry about finding people to prank. Everybody here is always really nice and usually have good reactions. If anybody gets the opportunity to come to San Diego it’s a great place with great people and lots of stuff to do.
