Today we’d like to introduce you to Becki Alexander.
Becki, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
The best decision I’ve ever made was the decision to go to cosmetology school. I’ve been a hairstylist for 18 years. I’ve traveled across the country attending hair shows and being an assistant educator in a hair show. The love for hair just keeps on growing. I went on to be a stylist for Aveda for the last 12 years.
My love for color grew. Aveda is very technical in the aspect of mixing the perfect formula for the guest. Now I own my own salon “cedar and rose” and I’ve never been happier. I get to provide a wonderful experience and get to know each of my clients on a personal level. I love spending time to achieve the best results and create a happy experience for all my guests.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve had many ups and downs in my career. I would have to say the hardest was after having children. Managing the ins and outs of everyday life as well as being present for my clients.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a people person. I really listen to my guest’s needs. I’m here to provide a service and I like giving my guests what they are looking for.
I specialize in making people feel good. It’s not only a look but it’s a feeling when you get your hair done. I’d like to say I enjoy everyone who sits in my chair. I learn so much from each person with who I work on
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up.
Walking to Thrifty ice cream and getting a triple scoop for breakfast when my sister was babysitting me one weekend.
