Meet Blair X Golden of Goldeneye-Photography in El Cajon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Blair X Golden.

Blair, please share your story with us.
I have been recognized for my passionate desire to freeze a moment in time, capturing its artistic splendor in a single frame.

Goldeneye-Photography has been built on the belief that a single shot has the power to change the world. I strive to capture this emotion and energy in every picture in order to evoke the true potency of that moment for years to come.

Capturing these special moments is what drives me to think outside the box and create truly unique images for you to enjoy.

I wasn’t that kid growing up that always had a camera in my hand… instead I was always in the moment. Today, I am in my moment, your moment and never leave the house without my camera.

The first time I was compelled to take a picture with purpose happened while I was traveling throughout Cape Town, South Africa in 2009. I’d never felt so much passion and wanted to share it with everyone back home. It was right then that I realized I needed to become a photographer. It was a love affair that completely consumed me and I’ve never looked back.

When I arrived home with a thousand photos to share with my family and friends they were amazed. My perspective was unique and I finally discovered what I am supposed to be doing. But in truth; it found me.

Now, together we will make sure your memories are captured in a way that you will enjoy for years to come. Reviewing the photos with you is one of my favorite parts because I know how special it is when you share them with your family and friends.

Thank you for choosing me to be a part of your special day, I look forward to capturing all your moments for years to come.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I started life as a 2Lb. 4oz baby, born 3 months premature. My parents were on a back packing trip when I decided it was time to come out!

Growing up, I dealt with ADHD and Asperger which is a form of Autism. School was a struggle for me. It was hard to focus on anything unless I was consumed by it. Photography has completely consumed me and allowed me the freedom to create truly unique images for you to enjoy.

Goldeneye-Photography – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Goldeneye-Photography specializes in all aspects of photography.

Weddings are always a two day affair with no hidden fees. I like to meet with the bride a week or so before the wedding to take pictures of the dress, rings, shoes and her alone. If you try and take all the photos the day of the wedding you will miss out on some amazing pictures. This is a time for me to focus just on the bride without all the distractions and time frames.

I really enjoy capturing a person’s special moments. From the engagement session to their growing family. I feel like part of their family since I am there for the highlights of their life.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The two most important days of your life are the day you were born and the day you find out why.

I found out why when I got my first camera.
