Meet Brooke Benner and William Webster of Dream Clean Windows

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooke Benner and William Webster.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Dream clean windows started as an obsession to listening to our favorite motivational speaker Eric Thomas and a drive to do something more with our lives. My fiance and I both have a passion for horses and we’re working steady equestrian jobs. I was working as a rehab tech at one of the largest vet offices and San Diego and my husband were working for a high-class dressage Barn, but we knew something was missing.

We no longer wanted to fuel other people’s dreams, we wanted to chase our own. So with the help of a $350 Amazon gift card and $100 box of business cards we quit our jobs and decided it was a make-or-break time for our lives. Window cleaning saved Our Lives from being mundane and it helped us realize how truly talented and incredible we both are which some people spend their entire lives not realizing. We realized they’re all you have to do is go out and Network and you will find the right people, our customers are not just money to us we’ve met some true friends along the way who taught us invaluable lessons about life and business. When to change your drive from money to something greater like human connection, your whole life changes and that is what happened to us.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As young entrepreneurs, the struggles we have faced have been numerous no one teaches even School how to run a business, how to keep up customer relations, or how to demand your worth and the value of your time. To name just a few of the struggles we have faced there was one job in Carlsbad that had three stories worth of Windows on the beach that we decided to charge $200 for after we were there for eight hours they asked us to crank in one of the windows and the window broke due to the Salt build-up on the gears so we gave them $100 discount even though it wasn’t necessarily our fault ended up sunburn bleeding and exhausted with $100 which hardly cover the expense for gas.

We’ve also faced some tribulation in our own relationship, as a husband-wife team it isn’t always easy running a business together and we’ve had our fair share of disagreements the most embarrassing happening at a customer’s house, however all the failures that we are faced I have only made our relationship stronger and have taught us how to control our emotions. Learning to deal with each other day in and day out has really taught us how to make an incredible team and now that we’re new parents, it has taught us mini-lessons about being a strong and confident team as parents.

Please tell us about Dream Clean windows.
Our business specializes in luxury window cleaning. We pride ourselves on doing an Exquisite job, this is our only window cleaning package unlike other companies we only do everything from the frames to the tracks to the screens after using dream clean windows you’ll see what true quality looks like. We handle large-scale commercial contracts as well as high-end residential, however, it does not matter how small your house is if you want luxury stream clean windows will be there for you!

What really makes me proud of this company is how much passion we have for it, we laugh and smile on job sites we work sometimes 20-hour days with pride. When you’re passionate about showing your value to the world, it shows in everything you do and that is what we are proud of.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood had to be riding horses for a wine tasting company that did trail ride. It taught me in a minute amount about dealing with customers and working very long hours. It was an absolute blast riding through the gorgeous Vineyards of Temecula and teaching people about horses, most people didn’t care about the grapes as much!

We would ride for about 12 hours a day with customers and then after we would put training rides on some of the horses and it was so much fun to be riding that much and learning so much. I was only 16 years old and I was by far the best employee with myself drive and self-motivation. It wasn’t until later on in life that I realized I was only a such an asset to the company because I did not have an employee mindset. I was then and am now and entrepreneur.
