Meet Christina Dossola of Mane Color Addiction in Encinitas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Dossola.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Christina. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I graduated from Palomar Institute of Cosmetology in San Marcos in 2001. It was there that I completely fell in love with hair color and how much it can transform someone. Not just how they look but how they feel about themselves as well. I then began a continuous road of education into branching out my hair color skills. I hold certified education certificates from several of the top color lines as well as with The Business of Balayage. In June 2016 I fulfilled my longtime hair color dream of passing the rigorous National ABCH exam and becoming and American Board Certified Hair colorist. All of this has allowed me to broaden my color services that I can offer my clientele. Whether it’s the colorful world of Mermaid/Rainbow hair or my “Natural” California Blondes or a Root Touch Up I love to do them all.

Has it been a smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. For 2 years we lived up in the Burbank/LA area where my husband was working. During that time, I didn’t want to lose my business I had worked so hard for so I commuted down to work at the salon in Encinitas each week. I would drive down from LA super early and sleep on friends or clients couches for the 3 nights I was here to work before driving back home to LA.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Mane Color Addiction – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am a Hairstylist who specializes in doing Hair Color. I’m especially know for my work doing Mermaid/Unicorn Hair as well as my Blonde clients who are looking for that natural sun kissed look. I am most proud of each client that I get to transform with my art. I love to draw inspiration from nature and photos I find and then turn those into beautiful pieces of hair art.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Encinitas is a great place to have a salon. The beachy atmosphere lends itself to a lot of inspiration. There are a lot of salons in our area each specializing in something different.
