Meet Clint Regehr of CERVIDEO in North County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Clint Regehr.

Clint, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My wife and I started our journey in Calgary, Alberta Canada. We then moved to Dallas, TX in 1992 and spent 23 great years there before moving to San Diego in the summer of 2015. My faith, my wife and my family (3 children and one amazing daughter-in-law and two amazing son-in-law’s and my two new grandsons) are my highest priority and joy in life. Fortunately, living in San Diego now gives my wife and me an opportunity to share life with our oldest daughter and son-in-law that also live here.

We now call San Diego our new home. What a wonderful place it is! I spent a career in enterprise software sales, from an individual contributor to VP of World Wide Sales in a variety of software companies, ranging from small start-ups to large FTN 500 software companies. During that time, film was always a personal passion of mine and at times a very expensive hobby. In January 2012, I decided it was time to take my passion and professional sales skills to the next level and leave the corporate sales world and start my own video production company, CERVIDEO.

It’s been an amazing ride ever since.

Has it been a smooth road?
As in any new business, there are always struggles along the way, especially when uprooting your business and starting in a new city and state. Probably the biggest struggle is just getting started, finding new clients and regenerating a sustainable revenue model. I had a great start in Dallas and established a variety of corporate clients that allowed me to film projects all over North America.

Upon moving to San Diego, many of my clients remained with me, since I was filming for them in locations across the country. At the moment, I am beginning to work with a variety of southern California based clients, and so I envision the same hard work and dedication will lead to more success here in the San Diego area in the near future.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
CERVIDEO is a boutique video production company. I specialize in Corporate and Industrial videos. I help companies promote their products and services in high impact professional videos.

I am usually recognized for my high-quality work and fast turnaround at competitive prices. I am also known for quickly understanding the business needs of my clients, in order to help them tell their story in a compelling way that drives results for their company. I am proud of the results that my clients have achieved through our video productions. It’s always rewarding when you receive feedback that the work you did exceeded expectations.

Looking back, I am also proud of the many projects that I have done, from the love story for Tony and Candice Romo, to the Duck Dynasty family Guatemala Boot Drop video for Roma Boots, the full feature documentary called STATE, and also the recent Wonder Movie promotional piece for Lionsgate and Roma Boots. I am also proud of the recent video series project for the Faith Network of the East Bay in Oakland, helping underprivileged kids in East Oakland get a second chance.

I’m really excited about the current project I am working on, where I am producing a documentary of the great Larry Rippenkroeger, famous Hollywood stuntman and multiple time world champion and hall of fame jet ski racer. While working on Larry’s documentary, I was also a camera operator on the set of Larry’s upcoming movie “Hot Water”, which just wrapped at the end of October. The film was filmed onsite at Lake Havasu, AZ. I am also producing the “behind the scenes” video for the movie, which should be released sometime in 2019. My 35+ years of business experience sets me apart from other video production companies.

Most professional video production companies can produce a good quality video in terms of picture and sound. But the question to ask is, can they represent the company in the most impactful way? I think that the executive level sales experience that I bring to the table is a huge advantage. Having that boardroom experience to get to the bottom line, understand the business drivers and then deliver on a project that exceeds expectations is one of the key things that sets me apart.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I think San Diego is a great place to start a business like mine. There are so many companies here, small and large. It really comes down to how much drive and energy someone wants to put into their business to become successful.

San Diego also makes a great base for a company like mine, whether your work is focused here locally or nationally or internationally, it’s an amazing place to call home.
