Meet Crystal, Amy and Mareen of The Dressing Room

Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal, Amy and Mareen.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Crystal, Amy and Mareen. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
We wanted something different for Rancho San Diego, something out of the ordinary, by bringing in designers that were not yet in the US market .

After extensive research we accumulated a number of designers that the team of 4 girls approved prior to requesting accounts with them. In the beginning it was difficult to market the designers. Not only were they out of the ordinary but unknown to the US consumers. Slowly our Instagram account grew, our website started growing, and we saw an increase in popularity by customers from outside of California. Within months, we started getting customers from all over California, and several East Coast states.

Today, we have over 54,000 Instagram followers, a clientele that continues to return and refer their friends and family, and a website that continues to grow. Our hard work and efforts have paid off.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Our hard work and effort to maintain and upkeep these unique designers was being taken advantage of and being used by other boutiques, not only in San Diego, but throughout the US. Fortunately, most of the designers have requested the other boutiques because not only do we have a close personal relationship with us, but we were the original boutique that brought them to the US market and they respect us. Almost every designer we carry we have exclusivity with. To maintain our brand and not clutter the market with the same brands across all the boutiques.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
We specialize in formal wear by international designers that have been in business and up and new coming. We want to offer something new to the industry. 5 of the designers we have brought here were never known to the US market. Today those designers have grown here in the US and have a large following not only by our clientele but other boutiques on the east coast.

Our boutique has become popular with bridesmaids because brides want a unique look for their bridal party and they have been able to create that through our boutique.
