Meet Cynthia Preclaro of CP Wedding Artistry in Greater San Diego Area and Temecula

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cynthia Preclaro.

Cynthia, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was introduced to the world of hair and make-up through my sister-in-law who is a stylist and make-up artist herself. She’s 10 years older than I am so I grew up watching her. I knew very quickly it was a world I wanted to be in.

In beauty school I realized I had no desire to do cuts and color. I was far more interested in styling and applying make-up. After I graduated, I was looking for jobs on Craigslist as so many of us do and came across an ad looking for stylists for weddings.

Since then, I have worked with three companies in San Diego styling and doing make-up for weddings and events. I love working with Brides and helping them feel beautiful on one of the biggest days of their lives! It gives me tremendous joy to be a part of their wedding day.

Now, I’ve decided to start trying to do it on my own! I have a great set of girls working with me and couldn’t be happier with how quickly it has progressed!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Honestly, the hardest part for me was having the confidence to do it on my own and believing in myself. That is something I have always struggled with. Once I had that, there was no stopping me. I am very lucky to have the people in my life to help push me and help keep me on track.

Please tell us about CP Wedding Artistry.
CP Wedding Artistry is a traveling Hair and Make-up Wedding and Event service. We are completely mobile. We come to you wherever you need us! Our team is very competent and capable of handling all skin and hair types.

We pride ourselves on our knowledge of products as well as knowing what works well for everyone. I am very proud of the girls I have backing me; Without them, none of this would be possible. I think what sets us apart from other companies is our love and passion for what we do. We enjoy our job and want to work to make our clients happy.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I don’t think I would change a thing because everything is a learning experience and gives me insight on things we can do better. All the challenges that we’ve had only make us stronger as a company.
