Meet Dana Lagomarsino of Just Lago

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dana Lagomarsino.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Dana. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a perpetual hustler (what!) and I always follow my heart.

My parents encouraged me to explore limitless passions and never judged me when I picked up a new hobby, closed a chapter in my life, or pivoted careers. I am grateful that I was taught to live life to the fullest, because, why not!? I want to roll in at year 125 or later saying that I did it all.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Has it always been a smooth road? Absolutely not! To be honest, it was a choice. I know, sounds crazy! But, I put aside the majority of my time after college to be a professional dancer, and I had to work hard to live in a city (Philadelphia) to feed my passion.

Unfortunately, because I didn’t have balance, my body suffered the most. I was eating unhealthy, standing almost every hour of the day (dancing by day, bartending by night) and staying in toxic relationships. I became self-aware and learned some pretty hard lessons in my early 20’s. I researched how to eat better, break my cycles, and detoxify and detach from unhealthy relationships.

You have to be willing to “do the work,” and it’s freakin’ hard y’all! Look inside yourself every day and unearth your inner dialogue. Then figure out (p.s. my team and I are great resources) how to heal yourself and sustain homeostasis.

Are you up for it? I am. Everyday. 🙂

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Just Lago – what should we know?
Just Lago is a tribe of highly-vibrational women who are committed to cultivating and creating our best work, lead by example and be prodigious resources for beauty, wellness, and healing modalities.

We provide five-star hair and makeup services (outer beauty) and offer incredible massages, reiki, yoga classes and aromatherapy (inner beauty). Our collective is contrived of multi-licensed and multi-passionate individuals: Cosmetologists, massage therapists, trainers, yoga instructors, nutritionists, and more!

Connect with heart-centered women to support your intentions and relate to (and help) with the stresses of Wedding planning (and life!). Let’s nourish your body, mind, and soul.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Listening to myself.

Even when I feel like I need a moment to embrace the yin energy, I allow myself to slow down and really go there, even just for a moment. Eventually, I crescendo back (sometimes slowly) to the hustle train.

I’ve learned to find this balance over years of lessons from “burnouts” (still always learning) and giving myself the grace to slow down sometimes.
