Meet Daniel Johnson and Brian Moses of The Salon Chair Guys in North Park

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Johnson and Brian Moses.

Daniel and Brian, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Love your cHair started as just a way of expressing our respect for salon/barber chairs and their story. It has quickly evolved into our mantra and has taken a life of its own. Behind its banner, we intend to inspire the industry to be thankful for the chair they have while working for the chair they want and also, we want to empower stylist to recognize the gift they have as agents of change with their chair.

Our goal is to bring cosmetologists and barbers together as a community in an effort to help inspire, empower and create possibilities in the lives of others. Together we know we will transform lives in and out of the chair with our passion and commitment to our mission.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Shortly after our first event, I was seriously hospitalized with ARDS. I was placed in a coma for three weeks and after awakening recovery took a while. Unfortunately, this forced us to reschedule our calendar of events and stalled the beginning of 2017.

The Salon Chair Guys – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Our core business is Salon Equipment Repair, we service and repair beauty equipment in the Southern California area. We also refurbish older vintage barber chairs and sell an Eco-friendly and Non-toxic Salon Chair Cleaner on Amazon. As a company, we are most proud of being able to mobilize other barbers and stylist to give back under our Love your cHair programs. We like to think that operating our business with the needs of others in mind sets us apart.

What has been the proudest moment of your career so far?
Our proudest moment came after our first Love your chair event when we realized that we made a difference in the lives of the kids and parents we gave free haircuts too.
