Davo, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
“Kura Revolving Sushi Bar,” is a Japanese revolving sushi restaurant chain. We have been continuously expanding our business in various regions in a short period of time since our first launch in 2009. We currently have a total of 14 locations in California, Texas, and Georgia.
Moreover, we are launching a new location in Sugar Land, Houston in the middle of January.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Depending on the regions, there were differences in customers’ characteristics and food preferences that we had to keep in mind. Offering what the people in the areas love to eat was vital for our business.
Please tell us about Kura Revolving Sushi Bar.
Our company is known for our unique dining experience through the use of conveyor belts. The sushi plate revolves around the restaurant and our customers are able to choose whichever plate they desire. These plates are covered with “Mr.Fresh,” a sushi cover that keeps each dish fresh.
We are proud to serve safe and healthy dishes without food additives such as MSG. There are over 120 dishes, with side menu included.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite childhood memory is when my father would take me out to eat sushi for lunch every day.
