Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Amanda Lloyd.
I decided to start my own dermatology practice immediately after training because I wanted to provide patients with an office where they can receive the full spectrum of skin care. They can have their skin checked for cancer, their skin rejuvenated, their skin cancers removed and their varicose vein fixed all in my office. Anything dermatology related we handle, it is most convenient for patients. Patient-centered care is my goal.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Medical training is rough, but rewarding to be able to do what you love in the end. The toughest part of starting my own practice was learning how as there is no “how to” book telling you what to do. I have amazing mentors, and they showed me the way to create a successful dermatologic practice.
