Meet Erik Nunn of Endless Technology Solutions in La Jolla

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erik Nunn.

Erik, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started my company in 2010 as a mobile computer repair business. As time went on it became more apparent that working for businesses to maintain their technology was a very sustainable business so I set my eyes on changing direction of the company.

In 2015, I moved the business out from my home and into an office located in UTC and that is when business started to take off. I was quickly noticed for having many great reviews on Google and Yelp and more and more businesses began contacting me.

In 2016, I chose to move the business to downtown La Jolla because it was closer to many of our clients. Since then we have hired 3 more team members.

Currently, we provide maintenance to many small businesses as well as provide on-site I.T. support for other I.T. companies that need local support.

We look forward to continuing our growth in the community and we are constantly looking for more ways to become involved.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My largest struggle was in the beginning of 2014 when I decided to enter into a new venture with one of my best technicians. We entered into a partnership for a new company called Halo Systems.

Halo Systems was a device that could provide a low-cost solution to companies that required HIPAA compliance. This device acted as a gateway into the business and filtered any unwanted traffic through open source software.

Unfortunately, after months of development we discovered that we were not the only competitor in this space, and soon found out that other options were better.

While my partners decided to seek more lucrative ventures I did what I could to keep the company competitive, but after a year and a half my efforts fell short and I was forced to liquidate the company.

This was my first loss, but I learned a great amount of knowledge from that journey.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Endless Technology Solutions – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
At Endless Technology Solutions, we pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service. We understand how frustrating computers and technology can be to others, and that is a big reason for us entering this market.

We thrive with the sense of accomplishment that we feel when a client has a tough challenge and can call us to get them solved.

We pride ourselves mostly in the fact that we can overcome many difficult challenges then continue to keep our clients protected.

In the past, we have been able to crack tough passwords in order to regain control, we have intercepted ransomware attacks and recovered client’s information, and for the most difficult we have created I.T. documentation for companies that have do not have contact with their previous I.T. provider and no knowledge of their network.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Currently, we are seeking more companies with needs to improve their I.T. equipment, create a new I.T. infrastructure (possibly during construction), and help companies become more secure online through informing our clients of current threats.

As cyber security becomes more popular in the news, more people have a desire to protect themselves and we are happy to help. We provide Malware protection, DNS protection, and email protection so bad phishing links cannot come through. Most importantly our presentations to inform staff members are the most effective because social engineering (aka hacking) is the most common strategy that hackers use.

Another area that we are focusing on right now are new projects. We are just finishing a senior living center here in La Jolla where we helped to coordinate the entire project, and now we are focusing on a 120-unit beach resort with fiber and Wi-Fi along the entire 400-acre property.

Lastly, we want to continue working with great companies. Our remote support can provide companies with network security, simplistic billing, and a very reliable help-desk.
