Meet Tyler Sickmeyer of Fidelitas Development in Downtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Sickmeyer.

Tyler is a marketing thought leader and Founder of Fidelitas Development, a full-service marketing and advertising agency that has served clients around the world since 2008. Tyler and his team consult clients on public relations, marketing and ad strategy, and ROI measurement. Tyler also serves on the board of Live Ventures (NASDAQ: LIVE) and speaks on the latest marketing trends at conferences across the country.

He got his start as an independent Christian concert promoter in college and was actually the youngest in the country to promote national shows- which gave him a leg up on his competitors when it came to digital marketing as Facebook was only open to college students at the time. Tyler was the first in his industry to use Facebook and text message marketing to promote shows. Tyler’s digital marketing expertise led to consulting other promoters, which eventually led to the launch of Fidelitas Development.

Tyler’s specialty is helping clients create marketing campaigns that stand out and produce measurable returns. The native Illinoisan has called San Diego home for six years along with his wife, two sons, and a yellow lab.

Has it been a smooth road?
There were certainly some struggles along the way. I found that it’s hard to grow quickly without endangering your culture, and so it actually got to a point where we had to take a step back and go through addition by subtraction and restore our culture to what we’d intended for it to be: Fidelitas is meant to be a fun place to work with teammates that trust each other and execute with excellence.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Fidelitas Development – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Fidelitas is a full-service marketing and advertising agency offering a full spectrum of digital and traditional marketing services, ranging from PR and media planning to SEO and eCommerce development and almost everything in between.

What I’m most proud of – and what sets us apart- is the partnership mindset that we maintain with our clients. We’re insistent that clients must be bluntly honest with us and vice-versa. We serve as Strategic Partners to our clients- it’s important to ask why we’re doing what we’re doing and really understand what the end goals are for our clients as well as our primary points of contact.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
My wife Erica and I moved to San Diego from suburban Chicago six years ago and absolutely love it. Of course, there’s the weather, but there’s so much to do, see, and eat here- there’s always something new for our family to try.

We’re both foodies so we love finding new restaurants to hit up. It’s also a great market with a lot of thriving brands in areas that we focus in, plus the relationships I’ve been able to build here are invaluable. Another perk is an easy airport to get in and out of with direct flights to most of our priority destinations, making travel for work and for play simpler than it might be elsewhere. There’s nowhere else I’d rather be.
