Today we’d like to introduce you to Genevieve Ruch.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m a born and raised San Diegan and have lived here my entire life. In 2008, I graduated from San Diego State University with my bachelor’s in political science and a minor in business management. Graduate school was always the plan, but I wasn’t sure if I would attend law school or apply for an MBA program. I chose law school and am so glad I did, as my passion for the law grew the more I learned about it. I attended the University of San Diego School of Law and obtained my Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 2012. I was admitted to the State Bar of California the same year.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It took a lot of hard work to graduate from law school, pass the Bar, and succeed as an attorney. One semester in law school was particularly challenging. I was attending classes three days a week in San Diego, working as a legal intern for NBC Universal in Los Angeles two days a week, and also serving on the San Diego Law Review. By staying focused, I was still able to earn a 4.0 GPA that semester. I’ve applied that same focus and determination throughout my professional career, which has allowed me to accomplish my goals and help my clients succeed.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Noonan Lance Boyer & Banach – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I’m an associate attorney at Noonan Lance Boyer & Banach, LLP, formed in July 2016 and located in a gorgeous office in East Village. Our firm is a litigation boutique specializing in complex civil litigation. My main practice area is business litigation, and I also do some real estate, professional liability, and intellectual property litigation.
I absolutely love my job and have been fortunate to work on very challenging and interesting cases. Our clients range from Fortune 500 companies to individuals – both locally and nationally. As a smaller firm, we’re able to provide clients with significant, individualized attention. It’s been rewarding to form such meaningful relationships with my clients and become their point person when they have a problem that needs to be solved.
We’ve grown so much and have accomplished a lot in two short years. I’m looking forward to continuing to obtain outstanding results for our clients!
