Meet Giulia Colmignoli of Napizza

Today we’d like to introduce you to Giulia Colmignoli.

Giulia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Napizza began its life in 2011 over a glass of wine and a ping-pong game between three Italian raised friends. We love to bring locally sourced, nutritionally delicious food to the tables of our fans, friends and family. We are proud of our live culture, our local farmers, our gourmet salads, our unique Roman style 72-hour rise crispy pizza and our commitment
to the planet.

Has it been a smooth road?
NAPIZZA has been one of the best paths we have ever ventured down. No road is very smooth. There are bumps on the smoothest of roads but with our pizza being the best as we feel, “Rolls Royce” of the yummy pizza options offered. We strive to keep our fans and community happy and keep creative in our kitchen so we can bring always the best farm fresh to the table!

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Napizza story. Tell us more about the business.
To us, it means relying on and investing in our immediate community and geological placement. It means utilizing our resources in an efficient and renewable way that we find closest to us. It means dedicating ourselves to ensuring the health of our neighbors and loved ones by using the freshest, most naturally grown sources.

We believe that local produce and meat are more than mere vehicles for nutrients, but vital parts of the system that supports our environment and good people who live here.

All of our meats and poultry are hormone and antibiotic free! 80% of our raw ingredients come from within 400 miles of San Diego. For the few items that don’t grow year round, we source these items from responsible farmers and from the closest places possible.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
The path is endless! Away from Italy, San Diego is our home and we feel so honored to share our vision within the various community’s of our restaurant locations, Encinitas, UTC La Jolla West field Mall, 4S Ranch and Little Italy.

Spreading our wings and sharing the love of NAPIZZA will take us far many more places in the near future. Stay tuned…
