Meet Jaclyn and Erik Ryan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaclyn and Erik Ryan.

Jaclyn & Erik Ryan met in college….sorta….they knew of each other. Jaclyn was busy studying and learning the ins and outs of every photographic technique and style under the sun. Erik, while enrolled in the same classes as Jaclyn, was studying more of the social side of things (Okay… So he liked to party).

Five years after graduating with their Bachelor of Arts degrees from the top photography school in the world. Jaclyn and Erik finally met. The first date started off horribly awkward. Jaclyn was expecting the guy from college but instead she pulled into a dirt driveway and found a mustache sporting, cowboy boot wearing, lumberjack. They sat down in front of a fire pit and drank cheap beer while discussing how life has been since graduation. Maybe it was the perfect star filled sky or the romantic crackling of the gold embers in the fire, but on that night, they fell in love (or maybe it was a couple dates later).

Armed with each others unique set of skills, Jaclyn and Erik launched O’Ryan Empire Photography, Southern California’s most sought after (pending) and talented (truth bomb!) photography duo. Together, they have coined the phrase “Light Hearted Luxury” by delivering the highest quality imagery and service to every client while also building joy filled friendships with each person they meet.

Please tell us about your art.
We create images from raw emotion. We utilize light to shape our composition and fall in love with stories from the people we meet. We are portrait photographers that specialize in weddings and love the connections we are able to make through this passion of ours. We are artists and care about providing incredible images that impact people the same way we are impacted.

Given everything that is going on in the world today, do you think the role of artists has changed? How do local, national or international events and issues affect your art?
The happenings of the world don’t currently affect our portraiture.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
