Meet Jacqueline Fisher of Whimsical Finds Shop in Carmel Valley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacqueline Fisher.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jacqueline. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’m a senior at Chapman University, majoring in Screenwriting and minoring in Entrepreneurship. I’ve been making jewelry since I was eight years old. I love to write, act, design jewelry, and scrapbook. I am the ultimate crafter! I run the blog, Be Individualistic, with the goal of motivating people to be their authentic selves and celebrate having a voice. I founded my business, Whimsical Finds Shop, in 2017.

Screenwriting is also my passion. I’ve always felt that we are all natural storytellers. The art of storytelling and making people laugh brings me so much joy. I enjoy writing TV comedy scripts, as well as writing biopics about forgotten, yet important cultural and historical figures.

I am a Two Time Finalist for the Portland Comedy Film Festival for two of my short scripts. I am nominated for two screenwriting awards at the Austin Micro Short Film Festival that takes place in September. I am so excited!

I am so lucky to have been raised by two creative and nurturing people. My parents have always encouraged me to pursue my interests in the arts. The many art camps and classes that my parents exposed me to allowed me to explore everything from claymation to duct tape design.

It is so important to cultivate one’s gifts and passions. We are all multifaceted individuals with so much to offer!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Customer service is the key to running any business successfully. I’ve learned to always respond to customer inquiries, questions from potential customers, make sure that all my orders have been delivered, and listen to customer feedback.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Whimsical Finds Shop – what should we know?
Inspired by childlike joy and vibrant colors, my brother, Justin, and I wanted to create a line of magical accessories, jewelry, and art for adults and children that inspire creativity. We hope our products make people feel happy, free, and above all: whimsical.

The store features a variety of candy-themed jewelry and accessories, along with many Disney inspired products as well.

I am most proud when I see photos of people wearing my products!

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Resilience, kindness, and creativity are most important to my success.
