Thanks for sharing your story with us Jade. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I fell in love with photography at a young age, I have always had a camera in my hand. I fell in love with vintage cameras very young. I felt it is very important to capture the moments in life that I never wanted to forget. As I got older I realized that family gets older and we won’t always have them with us because sometimes life is just to short. So I wanted to capture every moment with everyone so I would always have photos to cherish and remind me of my amazing memories.
Now I am 25 a year into my photography. I spend every day capturing the best memories for a lot of amazing clients.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I would be lying if I said it was easy. As a kid, It was just for fun til recently. About a year ago I got very serious with my photography I felt I wanted to get into professionally full time. It has been a long year with lots of tears, sleepless nights, learning everything to get where I am today. I feel I have grown a lot!
I will admit my biggest issue has always been that I am my own worst critic! I try to hold my art up to these super high standards. I have found a group of local photographers that have been so helpful and supportive of me! It has helped me grow a lot with not being so hard on myself all the time. To see the greatness in my self.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Jade Photography story. Tell us more about the business.
I specialize in Boudoir, Military homecomings, Couples. I am proud of how unique my style is as it stands out in the community, as does My pricing as it is very affordable. I know a lot of people can not afford pricey sessions. I try to relate to my clients on levels that I can help them with the best bang for their buck. I also stand out because I like to do pour my heart and artistic side into projects that shed light on things in the world I feel are important to so many people along with things that mean a lot to me.
I am set apart because I prefer working with my clients un-posed, As I feel its more important to capture the real and raw emotions verse posed moments. For me, my client’s photos are the most important thing in the world, and I know they want portraits they can treasure and hold close to your heart for the rest of their life. Which is why I am here for them to capture those moments so they can treasure them forever!
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
To be honest I don’t really go by luck because if we are talking luck I have the worst luck! So far I have been very successful and want to continue my success so no jinxing! Lol!
Pricing:
- Boudoirs range $75-225 depending on packages.
- Homecomings range and differ as I offer photography and videography they range from $150-250$ depending on packages.
- Couples and family I like to keep simple with two packages 50-100$
